The first picture that I have taken was of my friend, Kailey. The idea we used for her "expressive" picture came from one of Kathe Kollowitz's pictures titled "Germany's Children Are Starving". In her hands she is holding a ramen cup to replace an empty bowl. She was VERY hungry during the shot. Discribing this picture in one simple noun would be "starving" or "hungry".
The composition i
n this picture works really well because you see that you'll never really understand what is going on in her head or what is really in the cup. The line quality is very good too, I would have to say since we put it in black and white. She looks a lot more, calm.
This is a picture of my other friend, Ashley. We went for the other artist, Honore Daumier. The noun we used for her is "calm" and/or "peaceful". She has great light in this picture that just seems to draw the expression out of her face to make you yet again, wonder. She's in that state of mind. The lines are bold and seem to bring Ashley forward making her the focal point of the picture.
This picture was taken not too long ago during my friend Rina's visit. We were cosplaying our favorite anime characters. Yes, that is me expressing myself as my character, Lelouch. I would have to use the noun funny or humurous because it seems to make everyone giggle when we look back at it. The glasses on my face seem to be the focal point in the picture because they stand out no matter what you do to the picture. I don't know really how it relates to the other artists artwork.
